For over 40 years, Miller Decals has specialized in installing various vehicle graphics and every type of adhesive vinyl material in the industry to numerous substrates.
Jim Miller’s dad was a Little Debbie Snack Cake distributor in Arkansas in the 70’s. One of Jim’s tasks each year was to pop bubbles out of the decals on the side of the delivery truck with a needle and smooth them out. After a couple of years of doing this, Jim told his dad to tell the bakery to send the decals to them and he would figure out a way to put them on the truck. Miller Decals began in 1979 when Jim lined up his first decal on the side of his dad’s truck at the age of 15. There were several snack cake distributors in the area. Over the next several years Jim continued his work smoothing out the bubbles.
In 1982, while living near Jackson, Mississippi, Jim was pursuing a graphics arts degree at Hinds Community College. A business owner approached Jim’s teacher asking if any students had any experience applying decals. Jim accepted the job with Stewart’s Sandwich Shop applying decals to their delivery trucks. Miller Decals then officially became a business.
In 1996, the Olympics were held in Atlanta. It was the place to work in the graphics and sign business, so Jim decided to move the company. The Olympics kept him very busy and he made some great contacts with local businesses. Over time, he expanded to include all types of graphics and signage installation: vehicle wraps, ADA sign installation, textured surface vinyl application, wall, window, and floor graphics, banners, post and panel signs, etc. He loved a challenge and accepted jobs that enabled him to learn new techniques and evolve.
The Perfect Partner, Starla
In 2001, Jim and Starla were married. Starla had previously owned her own insurance agency in Louisiana for 7 years and enjoyed being an entrepreneur. Miller Decals was doing okay but needed a business plan and someone to supervise the day-to-day activities.
Miller Decals LLC was formed in 2008. Starla set up procedures, bookkeeping, standardized filing systems, and overall business operations. Jim was very busy working on expanding his skills. In 2010, he became Lowen Certified, 3M Certified, and Fellers Certified. These certifications have opened many doors. In 2011 he became certified with Avery Dennison.
Flying High...
In February of 2011, Jim competed in the FESPA Wrap Cup Masters in Orlando, FL. He won 1st place in North America. He won a trip to London, to take place in June of 2013, to compete with installers from around the globe.
In October of 2011, Jim placed 2nd in The European Wrap Star Competition in Dusseldorf, Germany. There were several first-place competitors from prior events in this close competition. Jim was one of two Americans to enter this contest.
Also in October 2011, 2012, and 2013, Jim represented Ritrama, Inc. products at the SGIA Show in New Orleans and in Las Vegas. It is an awesome opportunity to show the sign community his installation skills. Thank you to Robert Rundle and the team at Ritrama, Inc.
In 2012 Miller Decals added several employees to the team, including an installation coordinator to help with setting schedules, communicating with clients, and making sure jobs were completed in a timely manner. Miller Decals represented Mossy Oak Graphics at the Shot Show in Las Vegas in February of 2012. In March, we entered 3 contestants in the Wrap Cup Masters Series at the ISA Sign Expo in Orlando. In October, Jim competed and placed 2nd in the European Wrap Star Competition in Frankfurt, Germany.
In June 2013, Jim and Starla traveled to London for the Wrap Cup Masters World Competition. Miller Decals and Vinyl Images placed 2nd in the team competition. Miller Decals placed 4th in the World. This summer we entered the Wrap Like A King Competition sponsored by Avery Graphics. Miller Decals earned a place on their website in the Honorable Mention Category by entering a Chrome Camaro. In November, Miller Decals traveled to SEMA to represent two booth exhibits, 3M and Tape Technologies.
Our business continues to grow at a rapid rate. In 2022 we added 124 new customers. Our exposure has increased with trade shows, car shows, and advertising placed on Facebook. Starla has her work cut out for her to keep up with the industry's growing competition and its demands. Jim is excited about the new materials being produced for our market and looks forward to each and every project. It is all definitely a challenge, but fun to see where it may lead.
Our work can be seen all over the southeastern United States and other states such as California, Arizona, Texas, and New York. Miller Decals, LLC, is strategically located in the hub of the southeastern United States conveniently close to the Hartsfield Jackson International airport in Atlanta. Jim Miller
Owner/CEO
Jim Miller is the co-chief visionary at Miller Decals, LLC, the largest exclusive vinyl installation company in Atlanta, Georgia. Jim has been installing vinyl since 1979. For over four decades he has performed an extensive array of roles as a competitor and/or judge, TV show cast member, board member, brand representative for numerous trade shows, teacher, technician, and Allstar wrapper straight out of Compton, CA. He is known globally for his ability to make wrapping “look so easy”. In 2016 he became the 1st American to win the title of World Wrap Master. At home he is surrounded by women; his wife, Starla, and three daughters, Brittney (28), Kiley (21), and Audrey (18).

Starla Miller
Owner/CFO
Starla joined Jim in 2001 and became a key element in the company's growth from 2008 to the present. Her background in accounting and experience working for CPA's, spending time in the corporate world, being an insurance broker for seven years, and owning her own business has impacted the interworkings of Miller Decals. She and Jim have poured their hearts into this business together to make it what it is today. She has been judging the wrap competition for WrapsCon since 2017, published articles in WRAPS! Magazine and Digital Outputs Magazine and join Jim for a guest appearance on The Shop podcast Ep.19 with Reagan Dickinson. Being a mom to three wonderful daughters is her greatest joy. She loves camping, boating, hiking, and their dog Scout.

Brian Tavares
Chief Installation Coordinator
Brian has been handling logistics and scheduling for our customers' needs since 2012. He works hard to keep everyone informed and happy. His diverse background in retail management, sales, and working construction has given him the skills to understand what it takes to get things done. Over the years he has developed relationships with many of our clients and they enjoy the level of commitment that he shows. Brian has been married for over 20 years and has two handsome boys and also a couple of dogs. He loves football, grilling, and playing cornhole with friends and family on the weekends. His laugh can be heard all over the office!
Kiley Miller
Marketing
Kiley is a junior in college at Kennesaw State University majoring in Marketing. She dedicates time to working in the office and attending to our social media platforms. She has been on the President's list for multiple semesters in a row and continues to grow her knowledge of the industry and her field of study. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, spending time with her family and friends, hiking and traveling.

Nina has graced Miller Decals offices for four years keeping everyone in check. She has a background in auto finance and loves rescue animals, especially her three dogs and two cats. She is 25 years married and proud mama to two grown sons. Her awesome sense of humor, big heart and beautiful smile are a warm welcome to customers. She can been seen in the area driving her classic 1980 Ford Bronco wrapped in KPMF Matte Iced Silver Titanium!

Kelly has been with Miller Decals for over a year now. She has vastly expanded her knowledge of car wraps and vinyl installations in a short period of time. Her ability to fit right in with everyone has been awesome. She has enhanced our office capacity to become much more efficient in the timeliness of information collected and sent to customers. She is always willing to help. Her background in fitness training and being a flight attendant for United Airlines has shown in her ability to communicate and work well with so many clients. She has been married for 19 years and has two very tall sons. She enjoys working out every day and cooking healthy meals for her family. Her dog Gidget is exceptionally cute!
